Information
A waterproof film with a low-adherent pad. Absorbent, shower-proof and bacteria proof. OPSITE Post-Op waterproof dressings can be used to treat minor wounds such as cuts, grazes and stitches. Always seek the advice of your healthcare professional if you are unsure if this product is right for you. This dressing can be left in place for up to 7 days, as long as it still protects the wound and is sticking well. Change the dressing if it begins to leak, is no longer sticking, or is damaged. By using a waterproof dressing to cover your wound, this can assist with wound healing as it helps to maintain a moist wound environment, which is optimal for faster wound healing. By also covering your wound, this assists in keeping the temperature of your skin as close to your normal body temperature as possible, allowing your body to better support the wound healing process.
How to Use
1. Wash hands before and after treating the wound.
2. Gently clean and dry the wound and surrounding skin. NB. Stop any bleeding (apply pressure if necessary) and ensure that the skin is completely dry around the wound.
3. Remove dressing from pouch.
4. Remove the top release paper marked “1”.
5. Place the dressing using light pressure.
6. Remove the second release paper marked “1” and smooth the dressing down.
7. Remove the top covering marked "2".
8. To remove the dressing, lift one corner and slowly stretch the film in a motion that is parallel to the skin.
Warnings
For single use only. Sterile unless individual pouches opened or damaged. As with all adhesive products, apply and remove carefully from sensitive or fragile skin. Seek medical advice immediately for all serious wounds and burns, or if redness or discomfort occurs.
