Medi-Pak Cold/Hot Pak has the benefits of both a hot pack and cold pack; it is reusable, making it an essential for all first-aid kits! Medi-Pak works by contracting blood vessels reducing internal bleeding. This reduces swelling, while numbing pain and easing discomfort.
The benefits of this cold/hot pack are:
- Cold pack for the relief of headaches, migraines, burns, scalds, toothache, insect bites, R.S.I. pain, muscle aches and sprains, tennis elbow, nose bleeds, prickly heat and most sporting injuries.
- Hot pack for the relief of backache, tense muscles and arthritic conditions and period pain.
- Reusable.
How To Use
Cold Therapy: Store Medi-Pak in the freezer. Insert into cover. Place on the affected area.
Heat Therapy: Place Medi-Pak flat on the turntable only in the microwave, set power on the lowest setting. Heat for 2 minutes or place Medi-Pak in a suitable vessel and pour boiling hot water on the pak and rest in hot water for 3 – 5 minutes to reach the required temperature.
Warnings
(Do not heat in the microwave for more than 3 minutes at one time). Excessive heating may cause it to rupture or leak. Discard if punctured. Persons with circulatory problems should not use cold compression except as directed by a doctor. Prior to application read complete instructions appearing on pack.
