Information

Lamisil DermGel is used to treat fungal infections of the skin including the following tinea infections:

  • Athlete’s foot - between the toes
  • Jock itch - groin and inner thigh area
  • Ringworm - commonly affects arms, legs, trunk or neck

Lamisil DermGel can also be used to treat skin infections caused by Pityriasis versicolor, a superficial fungal infection of the skin.

Ingredients

Contains benzyl alcohol and ethanol (10% w/w) as preservative.

Lamisil DermGel contains the active ingredient terbinafine hydrochloride.

It also contains the following inactive ingredients: purified water, ethanol, isopropyl myristate, polysorbate 20, carbomer 934P, sorbitan monolaurate, benzyl alcohol, sodium hydroxide butylated hydroxytoluene.

How To Use

Apply Lamisil DermGel to the infected areas once per day for 7 days. You should apply Lamisil DermGel only to the skin on the outside of the body.

1. Clean and dry the affected area.

2. Unscrew the cap, and if using for the first time, use the point in the cap to pierce the top of the tube, then gently squeeze the tube.

3. Apply a thin layer of Lamisil DermGel to the affected skin and surrounding area.

4. Rub in gently.

5. Replace the cap on the tube.

6. Wash your hands after touching the infected skin so that you do not spread the infection.

Lamisil DermGel is for external use only. Do not use in the mouth or swallow it.

Avoid applying the gel near your eyes or touching your eyes while you still have gel on your hands. In case of accidental contact with the eyes, rinse the eyes thoroughly with running water and if any symptoms persist see your doctor.

Do not use Lamisil DermGel:

• If you are allergic to terbinafine or to any other ingredient listed

• If you are breastfeeding

• On children younger than 12 years or allow them to come into contact with treated skin.

Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using Lamisil DermGel if you are pregnant, think you might be pregnant or are trying to become pregnant. Lamisil DermGel should not be used during pregnancy unless your doctor has advised you to.
