The Atomo HIV Self Test is a single-use blood test for HIV. It is comprised of a test strip inside a plastic cartridge.

The benefits of this test is:

• it is discreet, easy to use, and highly accurate.
• You can perform the test yourself in the privacy of your own home or wherever you feel comfortable.
• Result will be provided in 15 minutes. 

How to use

The test is performed by placing a small drop of blood onto the test strip and then applying drops of test fluid (diluent). One or two lines will appear on the paper strip after 15 minutes to indicate the test result. The Control Line will only become visible if the test has been performed correctly. The Test Line will only become visible if the applied blood sample contains antibodies to HIV.

Warnings

This is a screeing test for HIV antibodies and may not detect a recent infection. If you think you have been exposed to HIV recently and your test result is negative, you should test again in 3 months. Please speak to a healthcare professional for more information.

• Single Use Only. Do not re-use the test
• Do not use if Expiry has lapsed
• Do not use if the foil pouch is damaged
• Do not use if the sterility tab is damaged or loose
• Do not use any other solution besides the test fluid that was packed with the test
• Do not use if the test fluid bottle has been opened or leaking
• Avoid eye/skin contact with the test fluid
• If the test fluid is added to the test strip without any blood, the test is invalid even if the control band appears.
• If the instructions are not followed properly, results could be false.
